Specialist, Solutions EngineeringJob Code: SAS20201409-50599Job Location: Herndon, VAJob Description:Essential Functions: Work with Account Managers to identify customer needswhere remote sensing software and analytics are part of the solutionRecommend end-to-end workflows to customers to solveproblems unique to their businessSupport execution of technical product demonstrationsand build prototypes utilizing ENVI, IDL, Python, JavaScript, and/or otherrelated technologies to provide proof-of-concept applications required towin businessExecute technical marketing activities includingattending trade shows, creating videos, webinars, and other originalcontent, and occasionally speaking at eventsWork with Product Management and Engineering to relayvoice-of-customer and market needs to stakeholders within the organizationQualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology,Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accrediteduniversity and 6+ years of technical product support experience OR Master’s Degree in a Science,Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 4+ yearsoftechnical product support experienceDemonstrated experience in at least two of thefollowing areas: ENVI/IDL Programming, JavaScript, AWS (or othercloud-based infrastructure), Python, Esri product suite, other geospatialsoftwareAbility to travel to various CONUS/OCONUS locationsAnactive TS/SCI security clearance requiredPreferred Additional Skills:Knowledge of remote sensing phenomenology with experience working with multispectral and/or hyperspectral image dataExperience working with LiDAR, full motion video, SAR, or other remote sensing dataExcellent 2-way communication (upward and downward)
